KARACHI: Gold prices rose marginally on the first day of the business week, the dollar depreciated and the stock exchange remained on a downward trend.
According to the report of ARY News, Chairman All Pakistan Jewelers Manufacturers Association Muhammad Arshad said that the price of gold per tola in the country has increased by Rs 200 to Rs 1,08,300.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs 161 to Rs 92,839.
Gold prices continued to rise in the global market, with the world market trading at1744 an ounce after an increase of 10.
Depreciation of the dollar
According to Forex dealers, the dollar fell further by 6 paise in the interbank market, falling from 158.10 to close at 158.04 in the interbank market.
Stock exchange downturn
Trading on the stock exchange ended negatively, the 100 Index fell 271 points, the 100 Index fell 0.59 percent to close at 45593.
According to the report, 36.82 crore shares worth Rs 18.37 billion were traded.
